The main experience includes participation in Chanakh dish cooking, which is typical only for Gyumri urban cuisine and is cooked of lamb meet or beef. Each visitor will cook his own Chanakh dish in a clay pot by putting meet, greens and other ingredients in it under Karine’s guidance. While the dish will be cooked in an oven, the visitors will either have a short tour in the farm, where the visitors can see, feed and take pictures of animals such as sheep, cows, pigs, chicken, donke, etc. or participate in Pokhind making class which is porridge made with roasted and crushed whole wheat flour. The visitors will be introduced to traditional ways of flour making with grain milled from stone, modern transformations. Then, under the presenter’s guidance, the visitors will make their own Pokhind balls by mixing pokhind flour with other ingredients like honey or milk.
Once the dish is ready, the visitors will have lunch/dinner. At the end, the visitors may shop from the little souvenir shop, where the works of Gyumri masters and artisans are presented.
